Chief Executive Officer

Chaim Wolmark, LNHA

Chaim is the CEO of Caldera Care, responsible for 18 long-term care facilities in the Pacific Northwest. Leading with a focus on resident care, a supportive work environment, and community engagement, Chaim’s initiatives have brought positive changes since he became CEO in May 2021. He has restructured corporate and facility leadership teams, resulting in increased resident satisfaction and a 25% improvement in census. 

With over a decade of experience in long-term care, Chaim previously served as Chief Mentor at Beecan Health and Director of Staffing at Centers Healthcare.

His expertise in long-term care facility oversight includes:  

  • Ensuring regulatory compliance 
  • Setting and mentoring leadership goals 
  • Staff retention and fostering a positive company culture 
  • Implementing new technology for enhanced compliance and quality care 
  • Building strong community partnerships, including hospitals and health systems 

Executive Vice President

Eli Oscherowitz

As Executive VP of Caldera Care, Eli leads financial and operational planning, striving to improve value and revenue while reducing operational costs. Managing the real estate portfolio, he oversees capital improvements and building management. Eli has cut operational costs by over 30%, managed +10MM of Capex projects, and established operating budgets for the portfolio.  

With extensive experience in long-term care operations, Eli previously served as Asset Manager at Independence Healthcare Management and Director of Finance at Beecan Health.  

His expertise in long-term care operations includes: 

  • Financial analysis
  • Risk management
  • Multi-facility oversight
  • Finance department oversight
  • Cost containment and expenditure reduction
  • Building design and renovation management 

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Von Preyss, MD, FACP, CMD

Dr. Sabine von Preyss-Friedman is an Internist and Geriatric Medicine Specialist with extensive experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities. She has received national recognition for her contributions to healthcare, including being named Medical Director of the Year by AMDA/Society of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine in 2011.

  • Advocate for vaccination in Post-Acute and Long-Term Care.

As Chief Medical Officer at Caldera Care, Dr. von Preyss-Friedman oversees and enhances our medical services to ensure the highest standards of care for our residents. She collaborates closely with our healthcare teams, including physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, to deliver optimal care in nursing homes and strengthen our partnerships with valued vendors.

Chief Nursing Officer

Stacie Miner, RN

Stacie Miner, RN, is a highly experienced Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) dedicated to improving accessible and high-quality senior care. Currently CNO at Caldera Care, overseeing clinical operations at 17 long-term care facilities. Passionate about positive resident outcomes and supporting nursing staff.

Chief Reimbursement Officer

Pricilla Knapp

Pricilla Knapp currently serves as the Chief Reimbursement Officer at Caldera Care, bringing a wealth of expertise cultivated through a remarkable career journey. Since 1993, she has been an unwavering presence within the organization, witnessing different ownership transitions, including Extendicare, Fortis, and Cornerstone.  

Today, at Caldera Care, Pricilla Knapp continues to drive excellence in Clinical Reimbursement, leveraging her invaluable insights and experience to make a profound impact on the organization and the residents it serves.  

Key Expertise: 

  • 30 years of progressive experience in healthcare, starting as a floor nurse. 
  • Versatile roles, including DON, Director of Education, and Area Clinical Reimbursement Officer at Extendicare. 
  • Executive Director of Clinical Reimbursement at Fortis, overseeing 60 centers. 
  • Dual role as Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Reimbursement Officer at Cornerstone. 
  • Currently serving as Chief Reimbursement Officer at Caldera Care, dedicated to enhancing resident care and operational excellence. 

 

Director of Infection Prevention

Margot Noe, BSN, RN, LTC-CIP

Margot oversees Caldera Care’s infection prevention and control (IPC) programs for long-term care facilities, prioritizing the health and safety of residents, staff, and visitors. With nearly three decades of experience, her expertise includes:
  • Developing and overseeing IPC programs
  • Implementing county, state, and federal guidelines/standards
  • Strategizing to prevent healthcare-associated infections
  • Conducting surveillance with accepted definitions and criteria
  • Training and mentoring facility-level Infection Preventionists (IPs)
  • Supporting facilities in preventing and controlling infectious diseases
  • Creating and reviewing Policy and Procedures for staff compliance and resident safety
Margot’s passion for caring and supporting the elderly drives her dedication to this role. As the Director of Infection Prevention, she merges her nursing background with her love of microbiology. Through infection prevention, outbreak mitigation, staff education, and compliance encouragement, Margot directly improves residents’ quality of life.  

Director of Finance

Ben Schneider

Ben is a seasoned finance professional specializing in healthcare finance, particularly within Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs). With a master’s degree in accounting, Ben has established himself as a trusted leader in the field.

In his role as Director of Finance at Caldera Care, Ben plays a critical role in overseeing various aspects of financial operations, ensuring the organization’s financial health and stability. His responsibilities encompass financial reporting, treasury management, accounts payable, and financial planning.

Throughout his career, Ben has garnered a reputation for his adeptness at addressing complex financial challenges in the healthcare sector. His strategic acumen and unwavering commitment to optimizing financial resources have resulted in substantial cost-saving initiatives and improved financial outcomes for the organizations he has served.

His expertise in long-term care operations includes:

Director of Accounts Receivable

Shira Licht

As the Director of Accounts Receivable for Caldera Care, Shira oversees billing, collection processes, and revenue achievements for all our facilities. Her dedicated team of medical billers, Medicaid specialists, and business office managers ensures accurate financial coverage and payment collection for each admission. Shira’s leadership focuses on continuous improvements in our business office structure and collection outcomes, with A/R activities based in both the individual business offices and our centralized billing office. 

Professional Background: 

  • Started in the medical billing field in 2018 as a medical biller for multiple homes.
  • Quickly advanced to roles such as billing supervisor and team leader, overseeing billers and account managers.
  • Joined Caldera Care in 2021, taking on the role of Director for all Accounts Receivable’s.
  • Combined experience from within and outside the medical field to lead her team to success and set new goals. 

Corporate Office Manager

Chaim Brisk

Chaim Brisk serves as the Corporate Office Manager for Caldera Care, where he manages the day-to-day needs of the executive team and plays a pivotal role in corporate recruitment efforts. His diligent work in securing successful hires across various company departments helps drive Caldera Care’s continued growth.
